nachlassen - break up

well, i wrote yesterday about the little community i had found through my german class. today i arrived berlitz to find our class had been broken into two groups and everyone i knew ended up in the other class. i would complain to the director, but it turns out that the teacher for my new group is really good. i learned a ton today. hopefully my little group of friends will survive this break up, because i'm pretty sure my german will end up being a lot better in this new group.

jerry and cindy arrived today. we, of course, went to the KaDeWe for lunch. after walking all over the ku'damm area we were took a break and then headed out to mitte for dinner. we ended up at an excellent indian restaurant - so i taught cindy how to tell them that she thought it was excellent in german. tomorrow we will all learn a little something at the jewish museum.
