das erste Mai - may day

booo! jerry and cindy are gone and dan and i are back to normal boring life. to cap it off, there wasn't even any rioting for may day to watch on the news. people supposedly travel from all over to come protest, drink beer, and riot in the streets of kreuzberg. i was promised at least one car fire! one of the most well known of berlin events apparently just didn't happen yesterday. we watched san francisco and denver protests instead. what a jip. maybe they're just saving it all up for the world cup and love parade. we'll see.
