späte - late

anyone who knows me knows that i am habitually late. i was even born two weeks late - i just wasn't ready. i can't keep time in music. i was a late bloomer. my high school friends even had a pet name for my little problem - jordan standard time. JST applies anytime one is dealing with me. one should say we are meeting at a time 45 minutes earlier than the actual meeting time to ensure i make an on-time, or relatively so, arrival. just today i was ready for class 15 minutes early, but did i leave early? no. and when i got there i wanted to talk to a friend in the other class so i was late to my own, and made her late to hers.

i have gotten better (seriously!) in the past few years, but i would never call myself punctual. so you can imagine the giggle i had today when i discovered that the model name for my watch is irony.
