fernsehen tor - TV gate

taking people sightseeing becomes a very different experience when you're town is hosting a major sporting event. most people see brandenburg gate (built as a sign of peace in 1788 by friedrich Wilhelm II - who's schloss we saw today) when they come to berlin. today erin and katie also saw brandenburg gate, but instead of marveling at the grandeur of the gesture and the beauty of the architecture, we got to marvel at the number of iranian and mexican fans staring intently at the giant screen built directly in front of the gate. still an interesting experience worthy of photos, but very different than usual.
