griechisch bar - greek bar

when we arrived in berlin there was a spot across the street that was under construction. there was a sign that said "coming soon!" (in german, but i don't remember the german). then as time went on the sign changed to "03.03.06 um 18 uhr". it was exciting to watch the progress! tiny european trucks were bringing tiny european building materials. finally a week ago the actual sign went up:

"pratirio - trofimon & poton"

"what the hell is that?" asked dan. "google will know" i responded. turns out its a greek bar and restaurant. (this makes about 6 greek bars and restaurants in a two block radius.)

03.03.06 came and balloons went up. theatre lighting was installed. a chandelier of spoons appeared over the door. 6pm approached quickly.

we really liked our little apartment until 03.03.06 um 18 uhr. it was a long, loud night. around 2:30am the celebration across the street started to really heat up. someone decided to mark the occasion by honking their horn for at least a half an hour. those greeks really know how to party.

today we noticed a new sign that says "geoffnet 12-5." open until 5am?! ugh.
