kaufen - to buy
as you may have gleaned from past posts, i hate grocery shopping. i'll say it again. i hate it.
this is because, where i usually pride myself on being a somewhat creative person, i have no creativity in the supermarket. my mind literally goes blank and i wander the aisles in search of inspiration. none comes. i end up buying junk food and kleenex - even when i take a list.
today was a perfect example: i needed milk, and something for dinner. i bought gummy bears, salami, bacon, grape juice, coke, cereal, tea, sugar, and milk. so what are we having for dinner? sushi from around the corner.

funny, the first time i met jerry we went grocery shopping just the two of us. no wonder we only came out with orange juice.
